Most agency names do not say real estate
I have sold domain names for years, and I think a name is easier to judge once you see it set in type with a mark beside it. That is all this page tries to do. Type the name, and the logos that come back are already the kind a brokerage would put on a sign.
Before it draws anything, the engine reads the name. It knows 40 words that mean property: realty, realtor, homes, estate, condo, lofts, acres, listings and so on. When one turns up, the business is filed under real estate and given three tones, trustworthy, corporate and calm, which steer the type toward sturdy serifs and plain sans faces and the colour toward quieter palettes.
Plenty of agencies are named after people, though, and Calloway & Reed gives the engine nothing to go on. Other names send it the wrong way. These are made up, and this is what it read:
| Name | Filed as | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Bay Street Realty Group | real estate | Realty does its job. |
| Keystone Realty Partners | legal | Partners is a law-firm word, and the last word of a name counts extra. |
| Copperfield Real Estate Agent | AI | Agent is on the AI list, and it comes last. |
| Calloway Home Team | sports | Team outweighs home, for the same reason. |
| Sutter Agency | agency | To the engine an agency is an ad agency. |
| Harbor Lane Realty | real estate, but energetic | Lane is a car word and brings the tones bold and energetic with it. |
You would not see any of this in a single logo. You would see a mark that has nothing to do with houses, and a palette that looks like a gym.
The setting that does the work
There are two ways to tell the engine what you do, and the obvious one is the weak one. industry=real-estate adds a little weight to the 84 symbols tagged for real estate, which come in five families: key (22), pin (20), house (17), tree (14) and peaks (11). But keys, pins and houses are literal pictures, and the engine draws literal pictures much less often unless a word in the name asks for one. I counted 400 draws for Calloway & Reed. With no setting, 3 marks in 100 were a house, a key or a pin. With industry=real-estate, 4.
family=house, key, pin is the one that works. It limits the draw to those three families, so every mark on the logo is one of them, and it is what the grid at the top of this page uses. The strip keeps one name and one seed and changes the family alone.
One name, one seed. Only family changes.

Words in the name still count for something. Realty, estate, property, rental and home each ask for the house, and key, lock and vault ask for the key. With no settings at all, Juniper Real Estate drew a house, key or pin for three marks in four.

Every card opens in the Logo Maker with its settings, where the font, the colours and the mark can each be changed without touching the others.
When one looks right
Click it. The Logo Maker opens on that exact logo, and the PNG and SVG downloads are free, with no account. That covers the website header and a first proof for the yard sign.
When I sold one of my domain names, the buyer asked about a logo too. To a lot of people the name and the look are one purchase, and an agency ends up needing the same logo in a dozen shapes: a favicon, square pictures for the listing sites and social accounts, a one-colour version for a window decal or a stamp. The brand kit draws all of them from your design and hands you one zip. It is USD 29 for a single kit, or 5 kits a month on the Starter plan at USD 9 a month. A kit bought on its own is yours for good. One made from a plan's allowance may be used while the plan is active and for 30 days after.
Small things that help
Write & rather than and. Most names are set in title case, which capitalises every word, so Calloway and Reed comes out as Calloway And Reed.
A long name with Group or Properties on the end sits better on two lines. Add wrap=1 and the name breaks at a word. If the office already has a sign with colours you like, pass them as colors (one to five hex values) and the palette is built around them.
For developers
Use it from code
