What free means here
There is nothing to sign up for. You do not enter an email address to see a logo, and you do not need one to download it. The files have no watermark and no added credit line. Images go up to 2048 pixels on a side, and you can ask for them at up to four times that density, so a logo that looks sharp on a phone also looks sharp when printed.
Logos made with Logo Lava are yours to use for anything, personal or commercial, and you do not have to ask or pay. The terms say this in full, including that the permission does not end if you break another rule on the site.

What it is not
A free logo maker should be honest about its limits, so here are three. Logo Lava does not check trademarks. Before you build a business around a name, look it up with the trademark office in your country. The logos are also not exclusive. A logo is fixed by its name, its settings and its seed, so another person who types the same name and uses the same seed gets the identical image. If you want a logo nobody else can reproduce, change a setting or two so that your combination is yours, and keep the URL. Finally, the logos come from an algorithm, not from a designer who talked to you. They are a fast, good starting point, and many people use them as the finished mark. If your business depends on its brand, hiring a designer is still a reasonable thing to do.
Why it can be free
Logos are drawn by software on one small server, and images that were made before are served from a cache, so a popular logo costs almost nothing to show again. That is why seeded images are cached for a year. The optional AI mode does cost money for each new design, which is why it has a short wait between designs. Everything else is free, with limits that are generous for people and tighter for programs. A free API key raises the limits if you call Logo Lava from code, and the pricing page lists the numbers.
