Plenty of gym words, no gym marks

Logo Lava reads 38 words as fitness, from gym, crossfit, pilates and yoga to reps, sweat, lift and strength, plus any word that starts with iron. Every one of them gives the name the same two tones, energetic and bold. Those tones do most of what you see on this page: heavier display type, capitals more often, and warm, high-contrast colour.

38 words the engine reads as fitness

0 symbols tagged for fitness

That second number is the gap. Of the 1,068 symbols, none carries a fitness tag, so industry=fitness, which on other pages makes a trade's marks a little more likely, has nothing to lean toward. I counted 400 draws for Northside Fitness: bolts, chevrons, shields and flames made up 6 marks in 100 with no setting, 6 with industry=fitness, and 6 with industry=sports.

Pick the marks yourself

The setting that works is family=, which limits the draw to the families you name. The grid at the top uses family=bolt, chevron, shield, flame. Bolts and flames read as energy, a chevron reads as speed or going up, and a shield looks like a club crest. One gym, one seed, and only the family changes:

One name, one seed. Only family changes.

A few words in a name ask for a mark of their own. Power asks for a bolt, forge for a flame and summit for mountain peaks. Box asks for a cube, and so does boxing, because the engine trims the ending before it looks the word up: Summit Boxing drew a cube for 37 marks in 100. A boxing gym should pass family= for that reason alone.

Studios, clubs and yoga

Small studios get misfiled more often than gyms. Pulse Cycle Studio reads as art, because studio is on the art list and the last word of a name counts extra. Kettlebell Club and Summit Boxing read as sports. Halcyon Barre reads as nothing at all, since barre is on no list.

The bigger problem is yoga. Every fitness word carries energetic and bold, so Rootwork Yoga is drawn as if it were a powerlifting gym. For a yoga or pilates studio I would set the tone by hand, tone=calm, natural, and pick softer marks with family=petal, leaf, spiral, sun. Two of the examples below are done that way.

The names are invented. The last two use the yoga settings.

On the wall, on a shirt, in the app

Click a card to open that logo in the Logo Maker, then download it. PNG and SVG are free and need no account, and the SVG scales to a banner or a wall decal without going soft.

A gym needs one logo in a lot of shapes: a square picture for the class booking app and Instagram, a favicon, a white version for dark shirts and a black one for a stamp card. The brand kit draws all of them from your design in one zip. One kit is USD 29, or the Starter plan includes 5 kits a month for USD 9 a month. A kit bought on its own is yours for good. A kit from a plan's allowance may be used while the plan is active and for 30 days after.

For shirts and wall signs

A round crest prints well on a shirt or a kettlebell sticker. layout=emblem sets the name and the mark inside a seal, and container=shield or container=circle chooses its outline; the badge and emblem page has both side by side. Keep the name short for an emblem, because the text shrinks to fit the seal. Ironbark works there, and Northside Strength and Conditioning does not.

family= is the setting that matters on this page. There is no fitness mark for industry= to lean toward, so name the families you want.
